TIME EXPRESSIONS IN THE SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE (GENİŞ ZAMANDA ZAMAN BELİRTEN İFADELER)

* "Frequency of adverbs (Sıklık zarfları)" bir eylemin ne sıklıkta yapıldığını veya yapılmadığını
anlatmak için kullanılır. Bu zarflar olumlu cümlelerde genellikle özne ile fiil arasına (durum cüm-
lelerinde “to be” fiilinden sonra) gelir.

* Olumsuz cümlelerde “don’t / doesn’t” yardımcı fiilleri ile esas fiil arasına (durum cümlelerinde
“to be” fiili ile esas fiil arasına) gelir. Soru cümlelerinde ise özne ile esas fiil arasına gelir. Bazı
sıklık zarfları cümle başında veya sonunda da kullanılabilir.

* “The Simple Present Tense (Geniş Zaman)”le birlikte kullanılan ve genellikle cümle sonunda yer
alan diğer zaman zarfları şöyledir:
every + Monday / evening / month / year / morning / day / week / afternoon / summer, etc.
on + weekends / weekdays / Sundays / Fridays, etc.
in + the morning / the afternoon / the evening

at + night / noon / midnight / weekends
once / twice / three times / four times + a + day / week / month / year
œ Examples:
» I always search the Internet to do my school projects.
» I want to keep fit, so I go to a gym twice a week.
» She gets up at 8 o’clock on weekdays.

» Complete the sentences using the verbs in brackets. Put the verbs into the correct form,
positive or negative.
