Geçmişte yapılan fakat artık yapılmayan alışkanlıkları, tekrarlanan eylemleri, durumları
ifade eder. Olay geçmişte meydana geldiği için “use” kelimesinin past (geçmiş) hali olan
“used” kullanılır.

Affirmative Sentences
subject + used to + V 1
F I used to drink milk every night when I was a child.
F He used to run fast when he was young.
F We used make up early everyday when we were at university.

Negative Sentences
didn’t use to + V 1
F John didn’t use to walk to work.
F I didn’t use to use public transportation.
F There didn’t use to be any traffic jam in İstanbul many years ago.
