Hello! My name is Ahmet. I’m from Ankara, Turkey. I’m a student at Atatürk High School.
In Turkey, students have to go to school on weekdays. Lessons start at 8.30 a.m. There are
usually six or eight lessons in a day. School subjects are similar to other countries. There are
maths, science, art , music, PE, geography, history, etc. We usually have ten minutes break
between each lesson. Our lunch break is usually between 12.00 and 1.00 p.m. Our lessons
finish at around 3.00 p.m. After school, students can join some school clubs such as folk

dances, football, basketball, etc. We usually have our mid-term holiday in February and it’s
about two weeks. Summer holiday is our favourite because it lasts about three months.
